SAVE MY SEAT!Maybe you've heard of Charlotte Mason and have been quietly drawn to it for years. The living books. The morning gatherings. The slow, beautiful rhythm of a homeschool that doesn't feel like survival.
Maybe you've tried boxed curriculum. Then classical. Then unit studies. You've made three planners this year. None of them stuck.
Maybe you're just tired. Of the noise. Of the curriculum-hopping. Of mornings that feel like a battle to get through, when you longed for them to feel like a gathering.
It's not you. It's the era you've been stuck in. And there's a different one.
In My Charlotte Mason Era is a three-day at-home retreat for the mother who is ready to step into the homeschool she always pictured.
Not another conference. Not another stack of workshops to take notes on. A real retreat, designed for the mother who can't fly to one. Designed for your kitchen table. Designed for the homeschool you actually live.
Three days. One trusted guide. A spacious schedule that lets you breathe. A private retreat space that's open before, during, and after we gather.
By the time fall begins, you will know exactly what kind of homeschool you are building and why. You will have named the era you are leaving, you will have seen the new one lived out in real homes, and you will be standing at the start of it instead of wondering where to start. The mother you knew you were meant to be will already be becoming.
What we'll do together:
Day 1: Coming Home (June 16)
Day 1 is for getting honest about the gap between the homeschool you pictured and the one you're actually living. Maybe it isn't working yet. Maybe it's working fine, and fine was never what you were after. Either way, we'll name it without flinching. We'll walk through the four most common ways homeschool moms get stuck, and you'll find the one that's pulling on you right now. Then we'll start sketching what you actually want instead, in your own words. You'll leave Day 1 with an honest picture of exactly where you stand today and language for what you've been longing for. That clarity is the ground the whole weekend gets built on.
Day 2: The Feast (June 17)
Day 2 is the inside look. We'll walk through Charlotte Mason's FEAST framework (Morning Time, Language Arts, Main Subjects, Dessert, and Beverage) and women in our community will open their homes to show you what each piece actually looks like. You'll see real morning time tables, real living books in real hands, real nature studies, real narrations. By the end of Day 2 you'll know what a Charlotte Mason home looks like in practice, and whether it's the home you want.
Day 3: The Threshold (June 18)
Day 3 is where you decide to walk through the door. By now you've named the era you're leaving and you've seen what a Charlotte Mason home really looks like up close. So we'll talk honestly about what usually happens after a weekend like this, the way the resolve tends to fade by the second Tuesday of the school year, and why that isn't a willpower problem. Women who have been living this for years will be with us, sharing what their homes look like in October, in February, in May, so you can see that this holds long after the inspiration wears off. And I'll show you the way we keep walking this together, so you don't have to go home and be the one who figures it all out alone again. You'll leave Day 3 standing in the doorway of your Charlotte Mason era, knowing exactly what your next step is.

The Rhythm of the Days
Each day of the retreat follows the same gentle shape, so you can settle into it. Rhythms, not schedules. The same way a Charlotte Mason home is built.
1:00 PM Eastern. We gather. A candle, a poem, a welcome.
1:15 to 2:30 PM. The heart of the day. Teaching and voices, woven together. You won't be taking notes the whole time. There will be moments to read, to reflect, to write in your workbook, to sit with what's being offered.
2:30- 3:00 PM Breakout rooms for those attending virtually and want to discuss with other homeschool moms.
The replay drops the same day, so you can experience the live retreat in the afternoon or gather friends in your kitchen in the evening. Or both.
The retreat comes to you.
Most homeschool retreats are over $1,000 by the time you factor in airfare, hotel, food, and childcare. For most of us, most years, that's a real number standing between us and the retreat we've been longing for.
This one is $27.
No plane ticket. No suitcase. No leaving your kids behind to learn how to be more present with them.
There's something quietly fitting about a Charlotte Mason retreat that doesn't require you to leave home. Charlotte Mason's whole vision was about the home. The table. The books. The rhythm of family days. The retreat takes shape where the work actually lives.
Two ways to come.
In My Charlotte Mason Era is designed to be experienced two ways.
Live each afternoon, June 16, 17, and 18, from 1 to 3 PM Eastern. Ninety minutes of teaching and voices, a short break, then the last hour for breakout discussions led by Table Hosts. This is the live experience for women who can carve out a quiet afternoon during rest time.
Or in the evening with friends. The replay drops the same day. Hire a sitter. Hand off the kids for three evenings. Invite two or three friends to your kitchen. Light a candle. Pour something warm. We'll send discussion questions in advance so your gathering has real shape.
One registration. As many friends in your kitchen as your kitchen will hold. The retreat is built to find you wherever you are.
Pull up a chair and let's chat
I reached the point where I was ready to quit homeschooling...
I was knee-deep homeschooling my oldest two while having three babies and toddlers underfoot.
As a former public school educator, I was trying to duplicate school at home, but this only left me feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.
I knew there had to be a better way.
That's when I dived into the writings of Charlotte Mason.
I knew her focus on living books, rich ideas, nature, and conversation were exactly what I was looking for.
For the past decade, I've made it my mission to show other families how this gentle art of homeschooling is possible.
My extensive 30+ years in education spans public, private, and home-based education, guiding hundreds of students and parents towards a more personalized, engaging approach to learning.
With over twenty years of homeschooling my five wonderful children and collaborating with thousands of families, I've gained invaluable insights into the unique challenges and immense rewards that come with tailored education.
For three days, I want to walk you through how. Not from a stage. From my kitchen table to yours.
Julie

"I appreciate that Julie never gives shallow encouragement. Her teaching has depth. She helps you think differently about education, motherhood, and what it means to lead your home with intention." -Liz
"Julie’s teaching feels like sitting down with a wise friend who understands both the beauty and the weight of homeschooling. She does not just give information. She helps you breathe, think clearly, and see your children with fresh eyes.” -Sabrina
